What a kitchen remodel costs in Monmouth & Ocean County (2026)

A mid-range kitchen remodel in our service area — semi-custom cabinets, quartz counters, new appliances, and lighting on the existing footprint — generally runs $45,000–$65,000. A higher-end remodel with custom cabinetry, an island, premium appliances, and refinished flooring lands in the $70,000–$110,000 range.

Cost drivers in this region are cabinetry (35–45% of budget), countertops, appliances, and any structural changes. Removing a load-bearing wall to open the kitchen to a living room typically adds $8,000–$15,000 once engineering, beam, and finish work are included.

Open-concept conversions in Jersey Shore homes

Many Brick, Toms River, and Manahawkin homes were built with closed-off kitchens. Removing a wall between the kitchen and family room is one of the highest-impact remodels we do — but it requires a structural engineer's beam spec, proper temporary support during demo, and clean ceiling/floor patching across the join.

We handle the engineering, township permits, and inspections so the only thing you experience is a bigger, brighter kitchen.

Cabinets, countertops, and appliances that hold up

We default to plywood-box cabinetry with soft-close hardware over particleboard — it's worth the modest premium and survives moisture far better. For counters, quartz is our most-recommended surface: non-porous, stain-resistant, and no sealing.

On appliances, we install whatever you choose, but we'll flag pitfalls — counter-depth fridges that don't actually fit standard cabinet depths, induction ranges that need 240V circuits, and vent hoods that need exterior ducting to actually work.
