Interior painting in our area typically runs $3.50–$6.00 per sq. ft. of floor area for walls, ceilings, and trim with quality paint. A 2,000 sq. ft. home generally lands $7,000–$12,000 for a full interior repaint with proper prep. Single rooms run $400–$900 depending on size and trim count.

Exteriors are priced by surface area, not floor area. A typical 2-story Ocean County home runs $6,000–$14,000 for siding, trim, and shutters. Heavy prep — peeling paint, rotted trim repair, or pressure-washing salt and mildew off coastal homes — is additional but quoted up front.

A repaint that lasts 10+ years and a repaint that fails in 2 use the same paint cans. The difference is the day spent before the paint comes out: scraping loose material, sanding glossy surfaces, patching nail holes and cracks, caulking trim seams, and priming bare spots and stains.

Coastal homes especially need full pressure-washing and mildew treatment before exterior paint goes on. Salt air leaves a film that prevents adhesion — paint over it and you'll see peeling within a season.

We default to Benjamin Moore Aura and Regal Select for interiors — excellent coverage, washable, true colors. For exteriors, Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior and Sherwin-Williams Emerald hold up to Jersey Shore weather. We don't use builder-grade paint or thin out premium products.

Cabinet refinishing is a specialty — proper degreasing, sanding, primer, and a sprayed finish using a urethane enamel. A correctly refinished kitchen will look like new cabinets at a fraction of the cost.
